These roles required accountability, customer engagement, administrative competence, time management, and physical endurance.
He has worked as a teacher assistant, a sales associate, a delivery driver, and a general worker in retail and food services. Across these roles, he has demonstrated reliability, adaptability, and professionalism.
He holds a valid Code 10 driver’s licence and has no criminal record.
Preston’s ambition is to become a professionally accredited mountain adventure guide, specialising in guided hikes and mountain experiences in the Drakensberg. His goal is not only personal advancement, but also to contribute meaningfully to South Africa’s tourism economy and to create safe, informative, and culturally grounded experiences for both local and international visitors.
Coming from a humble background, Preston lacks the financial means to self-fund the required training, certifications, and assessments. Sponsorship would remove this barrier and unlock a clear pathway into formal employment within adventure tourism.
